Privacy Policy — Screen Recorder
This Privacy Policy explains how Screen Recorder (“the App”), published under JP Multitools Studio, handles information when you use it on your Android device.
1. Overview
Screen Recorder is a local utility for capturing your device screen, optional microphone or internal audio, and optional camera overlay. Media is processed on your device. The App does not require an account and does not operate a backend that collects your recordings.
2. Information we process
- Screen content — Captured only when you start a recording and grant the system Screen capture permission. Recordings stay on your device (default app folder or a folder you choose).
- Microphone / internal audio — Captured only when you select an audio option and grant microphone permission where required.
- Camera image — Used only if you enable the front camera overlay and grant Camera permission.
- App preferences — Settings such as resolution, FPS, audio mode, countdown, overlay toggles, and output folder are stored locally on your device.
- Recordings metadata — File names, sizes, and dates used to show your gallery list.
3. Permissions
The App may request:
- Screen capture
- Microphone
- Notifications
- Display over other apps
- Camera (optional facecam)
- Accessibility (optional touch indicators only)
You can revoke permissions in Android Settings.
4. How we use information
On-device processing is used solely to create and manage recordings and overlays you enable. We do not sell your personal data. The App does not use advertising SDKs in the version described by this policy.
5. Sharing
Recordings leave your device only when you choose to share them through the Android share sheet. The developer does not receive those files unless you send them yourself.
6. Data storage and retention
Recordings and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Custom folders you selected may remain after uninstall. The App does not retain recordings on a remote server.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). Do not record others without any consent required by law.
8. Security
Protect your device with a lock screen. When you share a file, the destination app’s privacy practices apply.
9. Third-party services
The App uses standard Android platform APIs. Other apps you open or share with have their own policies.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when features or practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
